@my Roommate ;P

I have just undertaken the adventure of moving into a new house with two new roommates. My one roommate Liam loves interesting kitchen gadgets almost as much as I do so taking into account that we still need lots of more useful things for our new kitchen I thought I'd make a wish list of things I would like to add to our kitchen.

I may do a second part to this post since this one was so much fun :)

Sailor moon theme update; ok so it's not a really a big update but it's better than nothing. I'm still working on icons since I think they're going to be the longest and hardest part and I'd like to get that out of the way first. This week I've got 4 new icons. I'm not super happy with some of them but I'm sick of redoing icons so I'm over it.
The first one is a really cute picture of melvin\---- from the first episode. It's been re-done in photoshop but I think it turned out really cute and I'm planning to make another one of him.

The second one is one of Rie/Sailor Mars paper charms. I'm not sure if this one is maybe a little too simple but I'm thinking I might use it for the calendar. If you can think of a better use for it let me know.

The third icon is my fave so far, it's the luna pen and I think it turned out really cute. Some of the line art was a little funny but when shrunk down you can't see it any more.

And last we have a picture of Artemis from when luna finds out he was mission control. He has the little head set on so I'm going to use it for the voice recognition icon. This is the icon I'm the least happy with but I'm planning to use it anyway just becuase I can't think of anything else to use for that icon.

Upcoming icons? I've been downloading sailor moon pictures trying to come up with ideas and I think the next one I'm going to make is the black crystal used in season one by Zoisite to find the rainbow crystals and then maybe the rainbow crystals and the silver crystal. I also want to make an icon of each scouts' henshin wand and sailor moons' tiara but I havn't given a lot of thought as to what those icons will be used for.

Other projects? I'm working on some other stuff but it's all been on the back burner for a few days. Well I worked on these icons, and have been lazy. XD I'm working on a new picture for a contest entry on devaintart http://news.deviantart.com/article/119572/ and I'm planning to start work on those cell phone covers this week as well.
All Jewelry is on hold 'til my next trip to Toronto for supplies, unless I decide to make an etsy order this week.

So I went to Michael's for eye hole pins and lobster clasps for my jewelry this week. They're so expensive there! I couldn't beleive it was $5 for something that should have been $2 at the very most! Needless to say I didn't buy it. I did however get a great deal on clay. It's not the brand I usually buy but it's a very comparable brand and I got it for $1.30, regular $4.00.


I used it to make some rose pins and rings that look really amazing! I'm planning to post pictures but I'm currenty without a camera. My fiend is going to come over later this week to take pictures for me though so look forward to all kinds of colorful pictures!


Other great news, I've been in contact with a new company just getting started in the UK. They make cellphone covers and I'm going to make vector pictures that are going to be on the stickers that go on the backs of cellphones.


This is a pretty big deal for me. Even if I don't make a lot of money ( I'm getting a percentage of everything sold with my picture on it) they found my work and contacted me so thats super exciting all on its own, but the extra money will be a really big deal even if it's not a lot.


I don't think there is really any other news. I'm still working on getting my etsy store up. I sould be able to finish it up as soon as I get some of those pictures taken of all my stuff. I think I have close to $100 in jewelry done now so assuming it all sells that should cover all my materials for the next few weeks. I'm running really low on a lot of stuff. Mostly small things like clasps and pins. I can't wait to go shopping for all the little things I need.


Also I'm thinking of doing a giveaway to attract some more followers. Maybe an overloaded bracelet or a rose ring. I need to give it some thought. So if you guys are interested in winning a prize the giveaway would be for a random person on my list of followers. Is there anything you guys would like? I'd be more than open to suggestions. I want to give away something you guys would like.

Ok, so I know I've been talking about uploading pictures of my sailor moon blackberry theme and so I pulled a few of them off my computer. there are 5 here and I gotta say I was going for a very cartoonish feel but I'm not sure that I like some of the icons. the communicator is a little to cartoonish but it was the first one I made. the others for the most part I'm ok with but the zapped Sailor V turned out to have shrunk down too much to really look that great. I'd welcome any feedback you guys might have.

Real life update time! I'm at work right now on my lunch brake and so far its been pretty slow all night witch is good. :) I work in a call center where we take phone calls for an American cable company and I do the overnight shift from 11pm to 7:30am.

For the most part I like it, but there are some pretty weird calls that come in at 4 in the morning. Last night I got a call about how the church was out to get him because the only channel that was working was the Christian network.

Slow nights are nice though, because I get to talk about glee episodes and boys with my friend Mallorie and techie stuff with my friends Cody and dale. :)

Oh and speaking of techie things, I got my Iphone today. Its in rough shape; the screen is broken and the back is all dinged up. Its not really worth the 75 dollars it would take to repair it so instead I ordered a new screen and digitizer from eBay that came with a kit to disassemble the Iphone. I'm going to try and take it apart and see if I can replace the screen myself. An expensive experiment but if it works it will be worth it. I expect the kit to get here in about 2 weeks so I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Ok so I know I've been promising pictures of the sailor moon theme and I am planning to upload them later today but for now I'm trying to kill some time.

So today I got myself an Iphone. :) its only a 2nd gen 8gb, but it was only $40. Granted there is a crack in the screen I'm going to need to get fixed but I know a guy who says he can get it done for $35.
So all in all $75 for an Iphone is pretty good even though I'm only going to be using it as an Itouch since I already have a blackberry that I love.

Mostly I want to play with the software since software is kinda my thing and I'd love to play around with it. If I'm really unhappy I'll post it back onto Kijiji and sell it for hopefully more then I got it for.

On another note I did some shopping with my oldest friend this weekend in Toronto. Mostly window shopping but I did get one cool t-shirt with an octopus on it.

Some other things I looked at that I thought were worth mentioning were some really amazing dresses that I considered for the wedding I need to go to next month. I'm going to show you some of my favorite things. <3>

One of the best things I saw was this dress from forever21. I'm considering picking this up for a wedding I'm going to in June. I'm not sure if it will look as good in a size 12 and I didn't get a chance to try it on.

If I don't see anything else I like I will go back and try it on though. At less then 30 dollars its hard to say no.

Forever21 was full of great stuff! I also saw this bag with a panda on it for only $1.50.

I was going to buy it but I didn't have any change and there was a huge line. In the end laziness won out.

I also went into 1 million comics and saw some pretty sweet Buffy the vampire swag. There was a really sweet slayer kit that came with Buffy's cross and the ring angel gave her. I couldn't find it on amazon :(

So as I mentioned in my last post I'm working on a sailor moon theme for the blackberry and yes it is going to be free to download. So far its going pretty well, but as I'm making all the icons by hand then scanning them into photoshop to be cleaned up and pained its taking some extensive time. I don't want to just throw random items and pictures in there, I want every item to express what its being used for. So for instance, the alarm clock is going to look like sailor moons alarm clock that her mother buys her in one of the early episodes. All the games are going to have a Sailor V sprite from the video games they play in the show. I'm having a hard time thinking up all the icons but so far its been a lot of fun going over all my old sailor moon DVDs.
I'm planing to show off some screen shots of the finished icons and the wallpapers on my next post from my home PC with all my files on it.
I also want to upload some pictures of my new jewelry as well as some of my new wallpapers and drawings. so keep your eye open for some cool pictures and a few free wallpapers.
I'm also planning to do some small graphics for this blog. I'd like to go a few cute vector drawings and maybe some custom graphics.
Other then that there isn't much else going on for me to talk about other then some personal drama that I might tell you guys about a little later when I'm more upset and looking to rant a little bit.

Welcome

Welcome to the first post of "I think my cats been reading my diary." I picked this blog name because its one of my favorite quotes from Glee. If your not a Glee fan don't worry, that's not what this blog is all about... Mostly.

What it is about is a collection of things that interest me.
This page is going to include a lot of things, from what I thought of last weeks episodes of Glee or The Big Bang Theory to rants about what's going on in my life. But a few things I'm going to be focusing on are:

BlackBerry themes: Custom made by myself, as well as reviews of ones I like/hate. There will be lots of free themes so keep your eye open for the first one (its going to be a Sailor Moon theme).

Jewelry: I make handmade jewelry as a hobby so there is going to be some walkthroughs on how to make your own and some pictures of my own stuff.

Book reviews: Not a lot, but if I read an interesting book I'm going to review it.

In the end this blog will probably cover much more than this. I want a place to talk about the things that interest me but I also want to share my work with others. So please if you want to see something feel free to comment!
